A Long Branch Financial Advisor Who Looks Before Recommending

We help individuals, families, business owners and retirees with financial planning, retirement planning, investment management and legacy planning. Every client relationship starts with a careful review of what you already have and plain findings about it. We meet at our office or by phone and video, with clients in Long Branch, Red Bank and Eatontown.

  • Findings in plain language
  • Office, phone or video
  • No pressure to move accounts

How We Can Help With Your Wealth

Our work covers wealth management, financial advising, financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, legacy planning, tax management and life insurance consulting. We are Series 7 licensed and Series 66 licensed, and we are a credentialed holistic financial coach through Columbia University, so we look at the numbers and at the goals and habits behind them. Most clients come to us with one question, like when they can retire, and we start there. If the review turns up something in another area, we tell you and let you decide what to do about it.

    Wealth Management

One coordinated plan for your investments, taxes, insurance and legacy, built after we review everything you already have.

    Financial Advising

One-on-one advice on a specific money question, built on a careful review of your accounts, with findings explained in plain language before any recommendation.

  • Financial Planning

We review your full financial picture first, explain what we find in plain terms, then build a written plan around the goals you actually care about.

  • Investment Management

We look closely at what you already own, explain what we find in plain language, then manage a portfolio built around your goals and timeline.

  • Retirement Planning

We review your accounts, pensions and Social Security timing, then show you in plain terms whether your retirement income holds up and what could strengthen it.

  • Legacy Planning

We review how your accounts, beneficiaries and insurance are set up today, then help you shape a plan for passing on wealth the way you intend.

  • Tax Management

We read your returns and statements, find where taxes are eating into your portfolio and retirement income, and explain what is worth changing.

  • Life Insurance Consulting

We read the policies you already own, explain what they really cover and cost, and only then talk about whether anything should change.

Why Clients Work With Us

Most people have been pitched a product before anyone looked at their full picture. We do it the other way around.

We review everything first

Before we suggest a single change, we go through your accounts, workplace plans, insurance policies and recent tax returns. You get a written summary of what we found, including what is already working well.

Qualified for investment work

We hold both the Series 7 and the Series 66. Those qualifications let us discuss and manage a range of securities and investment accounts, and explain clearly what we are and are not recommending.

Coaching, not just numbers

We are a credentialed holistic financial coach through Columbia University. A plan only helps if it fits how you actually spend, save and make decisions as a family, so we talk about that part too.

Straight answers about cost

We explain how we are paid for any work we propose before you agree to anything. If a change would cost you more than it is worth, we say so.

Meetings that fit your week

Meet at our office, or by phone or video if that is easier. Couples can join from two places, and adult children can sit in when you want them there.

What Moves the Price of Our Advice

Fees depend on what you bring to the table and how much help you want. A retiree with two IRAs needs different work than a business owner with a company plan, a rental property and kids nearing college. We review your situation first, then lay out the scope of the work and what it would cost you.

Once we have met and finished our review, we put in writing what we propose and how we are compensated for it. The choice to go ahead is yours.

The number of accounts
Old 401(k)s, IRAs, brokerage accounts, annuities and bank savings all take time to collect and study. More accounts usually means more work at the start.
A one-time plan or ongoing help
Some clients want a financial plan and then carry it out on their own. Others want ongoing investment management with regular check-ins. Each arrangement is priced on its own terms.
Owning a business
A business brings questions about owner retirement plans, cash flow and the company's future. Those take extra review.
Estate and legacy work
Beneficiary reviews, trusts and gifting strategies call for careful attention, and we often coordinate with your attorney.
How complicated your taxes are
Required minimum distributions, Roth conversions and stock compensation add layers we model before we give advice.

About Financial Advisor Long Branch

We started this practice for people who wanted honest guidance without a sales pitch in the first meeting. Our clients include young families saving for the first time, couples planning their retirement years and business owners thinking about what comes next.

We believe you should understand your own finances. So we explain what we see, show you the reasoning and leave the decisions with you. Many clients tell us the review alone was worth it, because it was the first time anyone laid their whole financial picture out on one page.

How Working Together Runs

Every step has a clear purpose, and nothing moves ahead until you say so.

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

We hear what prompted your call, what you want to accomplish and what keeps you up at night. You get a feel for our approach, and both sides can judge whether working together makes sense.

  2. 2

    Gathering your documents

We send a short list: recent statements, plan summaries, insurance policies and your last tax return. Bring what you can find, and we help locate the rest.

  3. 3

    Review and findings

We study everything, then meet again to go over what we found in plain language. You may hear about fees you had not noticed, outdated beneficiaries, overlapping coverage or gaps.

  4. 4

    Recommendations you can weigh

Only after that do we suggest changes, each with the reasoning and the cost spelled out. Take your time, ask questions and talk it over at the kitchen table.

  5. 5

    Ongoing check-ins

Lives change, and so do markets and tax rules. Clients who stay with us meet regularly to measure progress toward their goals and adjust the portfolio and plan.

Questions Clients Often Ask

Something not covered here? (732) 696-7048

Is there an account minimum before we can talk?

No. A first conversation does not depend on how much you have saved. We meet with people at many stages, from those building savings for the first time to retirees managing decades of work. If our services do not fit where you are, we will tell you so in the introductory meeting.

What happens in the introductory meeting?

You tell us about your goals, your worries and what made you pick up the phone. We explain our process and how we are paid. Nothing has to be decided that day, and we will not hand you paperwork to sign.

Will I have to move my accounts to you?

Not to receive our review and findings. Some clients later ask us to manage their investments, while others leave everything where it is and follow our financial plan. We walk through the trade-offs so the decision is an informed one.

What should I bring?

Recent statements for retirement and investment accounts, any workplace plan summaries, life insurance policies and your latest tax return make a good start. If something is missing, we can help you request it.

Can my spouse and I meet together, even from different places?

Yes. You can sit down with us together at our office, or one of you can join by phone or video. We like having both partners in the room, since the plan shapes both of your futures.

Do you work with business owners?

Yes. We look at where your business and personal finances meet, including owner retirement plan options, cash flow and longer-term questions about the company's future.

Can you look at life insurance I already have?

Yes, life insurance consulting is one of our services. We read through the policies you hold, explain what they really cover and point out gaps or overlaps before suggesting anything new.

Find Out Where You Really Stand

Start with a conversation about your goals and what you have today. We will explain what a review covers and what comes next.
